Microsoft extends its office suite with a new generation of AI functions. In initial tests, the function achieved an accuracy of 57.2 percent – more than other AI tools, albeit below the human average of 71.3 percent.

Interactive process

In Word, Agent Mode transforms the writing into an interactive process. Instead of stubborn text input, a kind of dialogue arises: Copilot suggests formulations, asks about the lack of details and provides evaluations in the background, for example in the case of monthly reports. At the same time, the Office Agent starts in the copilot chat. This tool relies on models from Anthropic and can generate complete PowerPoint presentations or Word documents on the call.

Unlike many other AI offers, the Office Agent should deliver structured foil sets, including a live preview and integrated web research.
