World of Warcraft Update 11.2 Introduces K’aresh and New Artifact System

Smoked worlds, phase diving, Dimensius: The new patch 11.2 closes The War with (almost) and leads players of World of Warcraft to the destroyed astral world of K’aresh. A new artefact system should also fundamentally change the style of play.
Completion of the current expansion
Blizzard Entertainment has published Patch 11.2 “Ghosts of K’aresh” for World of Warcraft today. The update marks the end of the expansion The War Within and opens access to the destroyed home world of the astrals and mediators. The content is released, with the new zone K’aresh and the first campaign chapter already available.
The action continues the story of The War Within and reveals more details about the disturbing developments in Azeroth. Players have access to a new artifact system and can try out new game mechanics that are expanding the gameplay and necessary to survive in K’aresh. Good to know: Blizzard would like to talk about the upcoming WoW extension Midnight about Gamescom 2025 in August. Up to the release, only smaller updates and retro seasons are expected to be planned to keep the players happy – for example with patch 11.2.5 or 11.2.7 in autumn.
Devastated world with new possibilities
K’aresh presents himself as a dark landscape that was drawn by the power of emptiness. This planet was once the flowering home of the astrals and mediators before visions similar to the radiant symphony sealed the fate of the world. The zone consists of floating islands that players can explore using heavenly riding. Tazavesh, the veiled market from the shadowlands, now acts as a central point of contact for adventurers. The “Ecological Conservation” system enables players to fill biocupes with life and gradually regenerate the damaged ecosystem of K’ARESH. The activity offers long -term goals beyond the usual quest structures.

Reshii wrap as a new artifact
The heart of the update forms the Reshii wraps, an upgraded artifact cloak that is required for access to the upcoming slaughterhouse. The cloak starts with object level 694 and can be improved to level 727. Astral strands serve as a currency that are collected across the account and come from various endgame activities.
The Reshii wraps enable the so -called “phase diving” – a mechanics that turn players into a mere form of energy. In this state you see the world through the eyes of the astrals and can discover hidden treasures, rare creatures and special world quests. The arrest warrant system is also accessible by this mechanics.
Season 3 starts on August 13th
While the basic content is already playable, season 3 of The War Within only begins on August 13th. Then, in addition to the mythical+mode, the new slaughterhouse “Manaschmiede Omega” opens its gates, the final boss of which is promoted as the largest boss in the history of World of Warcraft. The RAID plays in the shadow guard, where players have to prevent Dimensius’ revival. At the same time, a new dungeon (Biocuppel al’dani) starts with three bosses and the new deep “archive attack” in the azure vaults on the dragon islands.
There the astrals, pirates and mediators are looting the valuable archives. As a season boss, Nexus princess Ky’veza returns from the Nerub-Ar-Palast and stands again to the challenges. Extensive class changes should also mess up the established meta and promote new strategic approaches. The staggered publication gives players time to familiarize themselves with the new mechanics before the intensive endgame race begins.
