As Brazil’s Supreme Court announced, the company’s representatives simply transferred the outstanding fine to an incorrect account. The platform has been blocked since late August after the company repeatedly violated court orders to moderate hate speech and failed to appoint a legal representative in the country as required by law.

However, the judge in charge of the Supreme Court, Alexandre de Moraes, requested that the payment be transferred to the correct bank account.
