In the course of Microsoft’s planned takeover of Activision Blizzard, the Redmond-based company announced that their PC and Xbox Game Pass flat-rate games now have over 25 million subscribers. In addition, the inclusion of further titles will be confirmed in January. Microsoft will pay a whopping 70 billion US dollars for the takeover of Activision Blizzard, which the company surprisingly announced on Tuesday. In the same breath, they talk about the current membership figures for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. According to Microsoft, they have already surpassed the milestone of more than 25 million active subscribers.
Should the Cartel Office wave one of the biggest deals in the gaming industry through, the Redmond company also promises: “After completion, we will integrate as many Activision Blizzard games as possible into the Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass – both new titles and games from the great one Portfolio of the studios.” Franchises such as Diablo, World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Call of Duty and Co. are therefore likely to become part of the games flat rate in the future.
In contrast to the games from Activision Blizzard, nine titles are already set for the PC and Xbox Game Pass, which are available to subscribers on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Windows computers either immediately or during January will stand.
Furthermore, Microsoft announces that nine additional titles will be equipped with “Xbox Touch Controls”. This means that cloud players can easily use them on smartphones and tablets without a controller. Optimized games include Stardew Valley, Exo One, The Forgotten City, Anvil Game Preview and Unpacking. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also get new perks (bonuses) such as additional skins for games like Halo Infinite, Doom Eternal, and premium tanks for World of Tanks.
