Xiaomi 15 will feature the same 6.36-inch flat screen

Most of the users prefer smartphones with larger displays. However, there is no exception to the liking of a device with a smaller display size. Over time the smartphone companies have improved the display panels as well their specs. Advanced specs of the display panels are usually reserved for the high-end models.

The high-end Xiaomi 12 series featured a smaller 6.28-inch panel. The company made some changes to the display size and debuted the Xiaomi 13 with a 6.36-inch panel. The same display size was used for the Xiaomi 14 series with a few modifications. As of now, a trusted source claims that the next-gen Xiaomi 15 series will feature the same display size.

According to the tipster Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 15 will feature a 6.36-inch flat display. No further details were shared by the tipster. Irrespective of the same panel size, the last two phones from the company featured different specs. So, we can expect something similar with the upcoming device. In the past, it was reported that the Xiaomi 15’s panel will be accompanied by a single-point ultrasonic fingerprint from Goodix.

For reference, the Xiaomi 13 features FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution whereas the Xiaomi 14 features a resolution of 2670 x 1200 pixels (1.5K). As a result, the screen on the most recent model has 460 PPI, whereas the screen on the earlier model had 414 PPI. The screen on the newest phone likewise employs LTPO technology (1-120Hz) and has a 3000 nits local peak brightness level. In contrast, the panel of the previous phone can only reach a local peak brightness level of 1900 nits.

Both smartphones can play Dolby Vision content. When it comes to protection, the Xiaomi 14 uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus whereas the Xiaomi 13 is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It is expected that the Xiaomi 15 will enter the mass production in September. We will learn more about the upcoming smartphone in the upcoming days. It is currently stated that a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip will power the device. Additionally, it is anticipated to contain a bigger battery than the previous model.
