Xiaomi Bigger battery brighter display officially revealed
The fitness tracker from the Chinese company is also popular with many customers in this country due to its good price-performance ratio. Xiaomi has made improvements in two important areas in particular in the ninth generation of the smart bracelet. Xiaomi
New smart band with larger battery
Today has Xiaomi In addition to its two smartphones, Mix Flip & Mix Fold 4, it also presented its Smart Band 9. In recent days there have been repeated rumors and leaks about the specifications of the device. Now there is certainty about all the innovations that buyers can expect in the latest version of the fitness tracker.
The two most important points for many users are certainly the extended battery life and the brighter display. The Smart Band 9 now has both. The battery capacity has increased from 190 mAh to 233 mAh. This means that the battery should last up to 21 days with “normal use”. If the always-on display is activated, one battery charge should still be enough for nine days in a row.
Compared to the previous model, this is an increase in running time of a whopping 27 percent. According to official manufacturer information, the Smart Band 8 only manages 16 days without charging.
Twice as bright display
In addition, the display of the Smart Band 9 is significantly brighter. At 1,600 nits, the brightness of the panel is doubled. The fitness tracker therefore has the same brightness as the current iPhone 15 from Apple. This makes it easier to read the display, especially outdoors and in sunshine.
Hardly any changes to the design
The design, however, hasn’t changed much. The small device still comes in its usual oval shape. Customers can only choose between a few new colors for the case. In addition to the already known options “Champagne Gold” and “Graphite Black”, the colors silver, blue and pink are now also available. There are also a lot of new leather and metal straps as well as new necklaces for the Pebble Mode of the fitness tracker.
Market launch in Germany
So far, the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 is only available in China for 249 yuan (around 31 euros). The company has not yet given any precise information about when the device will be released in the rest of the world and how much it will cost. However, if history is any indication, the fitness tracker will probably be available in this country for 40 to 50 euros and will be in stores towards the end of the year.
