Xiaomi is capturing a bundle of tech sectors. The company is already popular for its line of smartphones, earbuds, wrist bands, etc. And now the company has entered into the robots-manufacturing business.
In the most recent Unpacked event, Xiaomi announced its first robot dog – Xiaomi CybeDog. The robot dog is 15.7-inches in size and weighs around 31 lbs.
The robot is built on top of Nvidia’s AI technology and uses Xiaomi’s own smartphone camera technology. The company also used a RealSense Depth module by Intel to make this CyberDog.
This AI-based dog is capable of making out its location and can see its surroundings. It can run up to 7.5 miles per hour.
There are 1,000 units of this cyber breed available at Xiaomi’s premises and has a price tag of 9999 yuan (nearly $1,542).

This CyberDog comes with open-source software, allowing AI engineers to train the dog to the next level. The robot dog can be controlled both with a remote and voice activation. The Xiaomi CyberDog has one HDMI and three USB-C ports.
