Xiaomi Mi 11 Launch Date Is Expected To Be December 29

Qualcomm officially unveiled its latest top chip Snapdragon 888 for the first time in early December. Xiaomi, the first smartphone manufacturer wants to present the first model with the new high-end SoC this year. Now the date is supposedly fixed.

The fact that Xiaomi wants to equip the Mi 11 and its sister models with the Snapdragon 888 has not been a secret since the processor was first presented, as Xiaomi was a prominent guest at the virtual event. At that time it was already announced that they wanted to bet on Qualcomm’s latest big hit at Mi 11.

Presentation in 2020, availability only in early 2021?

As GizmoChina now wants to know from a reliable source, Xiaomi is actually planning the presentation of the Xiaomi Mi11 this year. A corresponding event is to take place on December 29, 2020, although there will probably only be one online event again due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Although the information does not come from an official body, the tipster reveals precisely beforehand when other Xiaomi products were presented and is therefore considered reliable. It is also still open whether the international launch will take place on December 29, or whether Xiaomi will initially limit itself to China with the presentation of its new flagship model series. Because there were rumors earlier for the January launch of Mi 11.

According to earlier rumors, Xiaomi also wants to introduce an unusual new design with a large camera module on the back of the Mi11 in addition to the 5G-capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. A new 50-megapixel sensor is supposedly installed for the main camera, while a zoom camera with a 12-megapixel sensor is also installed.

In addition, there has also been talking of a QHD + display with 120 Hertz support and a 5000mAh battery with a 55-watt fast charging function. In addition to the normal Xiaomi Mi 11, a Lite and at least one Pro model are also planned.
