Xiaomi Mi A1 the midrange smartphone is now ready to receive Android Oreo 8.0 update. According to Xiaomi, the Oreo beta update has already started rolling out, testers claim that they have installed the beta update and tested on Mi A1 models which works absolutely fine even on the beta version. So if you are carrying Xiaomi Mi A1 then you can expect the software update coming and knocking on your door soon.
However, there are some bugs associated with the update, but Xiaomi reportedly working in the backend actively to roll out OTA updates fixing all the bugs. Xiaomi is expected to release the complete stable update by the next week or two in line with year-end rollout promise.

For the Oreo beta update, Xiaomi has selected few handsets across the globe to test it, while it is still in testing phase you can install the update on your phone and check it out yourself. However, in this update, you can access quick settings revamp, settings app redesign etc. App load time is increased significantly, animations are much better on this update.
As you may have noticed that Mi A1 had a lot of issues with Android Nougat and especially with animations which reduced the quality of overall software experience, but this issue will be addressed in the Oreo update.

You can also expect improvement in the camera with Oreo update as Mi A1 highlights dual rear camera setup. Another big plus is the fast charging support, Xiaomi Mi A1 will be enabled with fast charging which could charge the phone from zero to 100% in just 92 minutes. However, testers claim that beta update hasn’t affected the charging speed much which is expected to be addressed in Oreo 8.0 update hopefully.
So far so good in beta, features like; Smart text selection, Picture-in-Picture mode, are readily available in the beta update. After getting the Oreo 8.0 update Xiaomi Mi A1 would be the device with an elevated software experience that you will enjoy however, there is still no confirmation of rollout but Xiaomi beta rollout it’s around the corner.
