Xiaomi to make electric vehicles using Great Wall Motor Co Ltd’s factory

A few days back, we informed that Xiaomi is planning to launch its own line of electric cars. As the rumours just got started so it wasn’t sure if the news was true or not. But recently we have heard more and more about the company’s new direction.

According to recent updates, Xiaomi Corp plans to make electric vehicles (EVs) using Great Wall Motor Co Ltd’s factory. This news came from reliable sources. If this is true, then Xiaomi will be the latest tech firm to join the smart mobility race.

Everyone knows that Xiaomi is one of the world’s biggest smartphone makers. The company has imprinted its name on various devices, with smartphones leading its name. The company is said to be in talks with Great Wall Motor Co Ltd to use one of its plants in China to make EVs under its own brand.

The company plans to release its line of EVs to the masses soon after the project is completed. Great Wall Motor Co Ltd would provide engineering consultancy to Xiaomi to speed up the new project.

Both companies, for now, have planned to keep maintain silence, but they also haven’t denied any rumour going around. In fact, it said that the two would announce the partnership as soon as early next week.
