You Can Easily Remove Personal Information From Google Search Results

Google announced new updates to Google Search that simplify the process of removing unwanted personal information from the web.

Now, when you click on the three dots next to a search result, you’ll see an easy-to-use interface to request its removal. There are three options available:

  1. “It shows my personal info” – Use this option to request the removal of sensitive details like your phone number, email address, home address, credit card numbers, or login credentials. Once submitted, Google will review and may remove the result.
  2. “I have a legal removal request” – This option is for content that violates Google’s product policies.
  3. “It’s outdated and I want to request a refresh” – Use this when a page has been updated, and you want search results to reflect the changes.

Google has also revamped its “Results about you” feature. This tool actively scans search results for personal information, such as your phone number or address, and provides options to remove them quickly.

These updates aim to give users more control over their personal information online.
