You might be able to download multiple apps at once from the Google Play Store

The most common place to download an app on an Android smartphone is the Play Store. Downloading more than one app from Play Store is currently unavailable. If a user chooses to download more than one app, the apps are downloaded one after one. However, there appears to be slight possibility that it might change in the near future.

According to a report shared by TheSpAndroid, the company might be working on a new option for the Play Store that will enable users to download multiple apps at once. Reportedly, the tech giant Google has experimented with similar functionality in the past. However, it appears like the company is experimenting with this feature once again in the version 40.0.13.

The report indicates that the feature can be activated by enabling a few flags. One thing to notice here is that multiple downloads at any given point might offer a few limitations. First and foremost, they won’t work while a user is updating apps. The schedule of app update will continue like the way it is: one by one. Secondly, the feature will only support downloading any two apps at any particular time. In contrast to this, the publication reports that the number can be increased to five apps by enabling another flag.

The feature is currently available in a version of the Google Play Store. There is no word whether this feature will officially arrive to the stable version of the app or not. There is a chance that it might be gone once again as soon as the testing is complete.
