YouTube Kids will no longer be available on Smart TVs from July 2024 onwards

For quite some time now, the tech giant Google has been providing the YouTube Kids app on several devices including the Apple TV (tvOS0), LG TV (WebOS), Fire TV (Fire OS), Samsung TV (Tizen), and Android TV/Google TV. The Kids app is available alongside the YouTube app.

Last year, in May, to provide a more simplified experience, the company began delivering YouTube Kids within YouTube on the above-mentioned platforms. According to some recent pieces of information, the YouTube Kids app will no longer be available on smart TVs. The app is going away from July 2024.

In simple words, users can no longer access the standalone YouTube Kids app. Instead, they will have access to YouTube Kids on their smart TVs via the YouTube app. There will be no separate icon for YouTube Kids app on smart TVs. One thing to mention here is that the app will be available on Android.

In order to access YouTube Kids in YouTube in a smart TV, follow these steps:
* Set up a YouTube Kids account.
* Reopen the app. A Who’s Watching screen will appear.
* Click on kid’s account to access YouTube Kids.

If it opens under a different account, choose your kid’s account by clicking on the profile symbol in the upper-left corner of the screen. In this way, you will be able to access YouTube Kids on YouTube.
