YouTube Went Down Globally, but Now it’s Fixed

YouTube went down, due to a sitewide issue that prevented videos from uploading. Now the video streaming app is up again.

The outage lasted over two hours after users began reporting issues slightly before 7 p.m. EST., according to Down Detector.

According to the report, while the YouTube website was working, videos were stuck on a black screen with a white loading circle.

In a tweet, YouTube said, …And we’re back—we’re so sorry for the interruption. This is fixed across all devices & YouTube services, thanks for being patient with us.”
