3 ZTE Smartphone will Use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

Even when Qualcomm hasn’t officially announced the next generation of chipsets, smartphone makers are all ready to deploy this SoC in the line of flagships. One of such smartphone makers is ZTE. In fact, the company is likely to be working on three devices that will be coming with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

According to reports, the three ZTE smartphones using this chipset include the Nubia Red Magic 7, Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro, and the Nubia Z40. We don’t have any more details, such as the specifications of the trio or their release dates. But we are certain to get this info as well.

In previous reports, we learned about some devices using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (previously known as the Snapdragon 898). These devices belong to Motorola, Xiaomi, Redmi, and Vivo.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is a powerful SoC, featuring an Adreno 730 GPU and 1×2.42GHz + 3×2.17GHz + 1.79GHz processor. The chip carries model number SM8450, is built on a 4nm process, and works 20% better than its predecessors.
