If we talk about which cellular company is right at the top, it will be Mobilink as per current statistics. But if we anticipate the future it is likely that Zong will beat all the companies and emerge as the leading cellular company in Pakistan. In terms of 4G subscribers, Zong is already leading with 4.9 million 4G users. In 2003-04 Zong started very well with 9.36% market share but suddenly Zong saw huge crunch and dropped down to 1.62% in 2006-07. Then the company focused mainly on 3G/4G subscribers from then onwards, which was the right thing to do. The company focuses more on the future technology and it is expected that Zong might pioneer 5G technology in Pakistan.
