4th October might make or break Google.

Google’s 4th October event is going to be big. At least, that is what the rumors are in the tech world. A little bird told us that there will be a lot of talk on the new hardware that Google is behind. It starts off from pixel phones, the one we talked about last month. Google will also be showcasing Google Home the competitor to Amazon’s Echo. A Chromecast Ultra will also be getting an update. The Chromecast might support 4K and HDR content that will sell for $69.

Rumors point to new hardware in the 4th October event

Not to mention, Google Wi-Fi will also be introduced which will compete with Eero and similar routers. The Wi-Fi router is expected to be of $129 for each unit and can be linked to cover the entire home premises.

Last but not the least in the goodies Google has in store for users there will be Androme. Andromeda is the code name for a new platform Google is launching for laptop and tablet devices. Andromeda is a combination of Chrome OS and Android. Some of the rumors are courtesy of the Android Police.

Now, Google’s 4th October event seems to be laced with a lot of hardware and new updates. Particularly the audience interest is in the Google Pixel phones and Androme. Pixel and Pixel XL are the new series Google plans to initiate by discontinuing the Nexus series. HTC is at the backhand of Pixel series working on the design but the branding will be of Google. The company has already launched a massive marketing campaign for it. The pixel will have a 5 inch display and Pixel XL will be a phablet with a 5.5 inch screen.

Both phones will have similar specs. Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 821 processor, 4 GB RAM, 1080P and quad HD (Pixel XL) display with 12 megapixel cameras are incorporated in the phones. Not to mention, finger print scanner and large batteries (We’re hoping the large batteries don’t see the fate of Samsung Galaxy Note 7).

The price of each pixel phone is $649 as per the rumor which means that Google is competing with Samsung and Apple. Google is willing to offer financing options that make the price of phone easier to manage. The phones are expected to come with Android 7.1 Nougat.

What is Androme and where can we get it?

Shifting from Pixel phones let us talk about Androme. The code name of Androme is Andromeda which is a computing platform for laptop and tablets. Reports and rumors point out that Google has tested this system on Nexus 9 tablets and has yet to introduce it on Huawei tablet. This was fueled by the tweet of Hiroshi Lockheimer. The tech giant has denied previous rumors of the merge in platforms but it has launched Play Sore and Android apps on Chrome OS that have already been seen.

Google’s big event will start at 1 pm ET on the 4th of October.
