7th e-Rozgar Center of PITB and YASAT inaugurated today

The Chief Minister’s e-Rozgar center a joint project of Pakistan Information Technology Board (PITB) and Youth Affairs, Sports, Archaeology & Tourism (YASAT) was scheduled to be inaugurated today at Government College Women University (GCWU) Sialkot at 10:00am—according to a press release

Chairman PITB, Vice-Chancellor of Information Technology University (ITU) and the advisor of Chief Minister will together inaugurate the center. Vice-Chancellor of (GCWU) will sing the Mou during the ceremony. Similar e-Rozgar centers were opened at the University of Gujrat, Government College Women University Faisalabad, UET Taxila, COMSATS Sahiwal and the University of Punjab Jhelum campus earlier and are conducting training sessions actively.

The purpose of these e-Rozgar centers is to provide the candidates with training in an online environment that could polish their skills and enable them to generate income through working online. PITB has accepted 33105 applications from graduates which will be later shortlisted on the basis of merit, the shortlisted candidates will be provided with 3 months training in three different phases. Training will be provided in all 40 training centers by high-profile trainers, five centers are specifically dedicated to female candidates.

A spokesperson said the program will provide free training to selected candidates across the province in 40 e-Rozgar training centers.
