Xiaomi Watch S3 is now official with HyperOS

Mi Watch Lite

Just recently, Xiaomi debuted its new smartwatch. Interestingly, the new Xiaomi Watch S3 comes with a HyperOS skin. Reportedly, the watch appears much like a regular smartwatch, but it bears more resemblance to a sporty watch. You will find two buttons on the right side. It is made out of metal.

One thing to notice here is that the company has debuted the new watch in China. There is a chance that it might enter the global market. It comes in two different variants. One of the variants comes with a Bluetooth option and a fluorine rubber strap, while the other variant comes with a brown leather strap and eSIM support.

In fact, Xiaomi unveiled a brand-new method for switching watch bands. This is what the manufacturer calls an “interchangeable bezel,” and it’s simple to switch the watch bands by just twisting them. It probably means you can’t use standard watch bands, although we’re not entirely sure.

Xiaomi Watch S3 has 500 sports modes

According to the company, users will find 150 sports modes on the new smartwatch. In addition to this, the watch has improved heart rate accuracy by 20% since it accompanies a 12-channel heart rate detection module. Some other features found on the watch include a dual-layer antenna design, dual-frequency five-satellite positioning for GPS tracking, Bluetooth 5.2, sleep, heart rate, and stress sensors. The antenna design increases the reception of the GNSS antenna by almost 50%.

The Xiaomi Watch S3 comes with a 486mAh battery that provides 7 days of battery life on the LTE version and 15 days of battery life on the Bluetooth version. It features a 1.43-inch (466 x 466) AMOLED display with 600 nits of peak brightness and an additional 256 nits of adaptive brightness. It comes in three colors, i.e., brown, silver, and black. It is available for pre-order in China for CNY799 or $109.
