Price cuts for all PS5 variants are imminent

Sony will make his PlayStation 5 consoles much more attractive in terms of price from this week, at least temporary. As part of the Days of Play campaign, an extensive discount campaign starts on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. The price cuts affect the entire PS5 portfolio-from the standard console to the new Pro version. The biggest price reductions are available for the two standard PS5 models.
Here Sony reduces the prices of 100 euros. The version with drive costs 449.99 euros instead of 549.99 euros. The digital edition without drive is offered for 399.99 euros instead of 499.99 euros. New bundle with Call of Duty
Sony is also planning new hardware bundle with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. A standard PS5 bundle with download code for the game should be available for 499.99 euros. The bundle digital edition will cost 50 euros less. The Days of Play campaign has a long tradition at Sony. Since 2017, the Japanese company has been organizing this annual discount campaign to boost the sales of its consoles and games.
Originally intended as a celebration of the PlayStation community, the event has developed for a fixed date in the calendar of many players. Last year Sony had mainly focused on software offers during the Days of Play. This year’s focus on hardware discounts could be related to the life cycle of the PS5, which is now on the market in the fifth year.
