Microsoft publishes new dynamic updates

After the Patch Day, Microsoft has also released new dynamic updates for Windows 11 and Windows Server 2025. The new versions bring improvements for the Windows recovery environment Winre. A bug is also fixed.
New dynamic Windows updates are there
As usual, Microsoft has now published new dynamic updates in addition to the new versions for Windows 11 and Windows 10 for the Patch Day. In addition to the ordinary improvements from Win-Re, a USB-C bug is also remedied in a version. However, new updates are only available for Windows 11 and Windows Server.
Windows 10 is leaving this month. It was the other way around in June. Under the identifier KB5062785 A new setup update for Windows 11 24H2 and Windows Server 2025 is available. KB5062683 on the other hand, is intended for Windows 11 version 22H2 and 23h2. The new recovery update KB5062688 is aimed at users of Windows 11 24H2 and Windows Server 2025. And KB5062693 is ready for Windows 11 version 22H2 and 23h2.
The first two updates aim to improve the Windows setup experience, while the last two versions improve the recovery environment (WinRe). In addition to the usual improvements, KB5062688 also fixes a bug in which USB-C on ARM64-based devices did not work correctly due to a missing UCMUCSI device. Microsoft does not reveal any details of further changes.
General information about dynamic updates
Dynamic updates differ fundamentally from other updates for Windows. They are especially used for a new Windows version when upgrading. In addition, they are usually not distributed via the usual Windows update mechanism. With the current updates, Microsoft still uses the distribution via the automatic Windows update function. In addition, the downloads are also available for manual installation in Windows update catalog as well as via the server update services. The updates include different components:
- Corrections for setup binemy files
- SafeOS updates for Windows Redes Creation Environment
- Updates for the service stack
- The latest cumulative quality update
- Driver updates from manufacturers
The Windows recovery environment (WinRe) is an important part of the fixing of start problems. Optimizations in this area contribute significantly to the stability of the system and improve the options for restoring in an emergency, which is why they are of particular importance.
Sparse information
Although the updates contribute to the important system stability, Microsoft has so far released with concrete information. The few available information leaves scope for speculations about potentially comprehensive adjustments or optimizations in the Windows recovery system.
