The 66-year-old British television presenter Jeremy Clarkson has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The former host of BBC motoring magazine Top Gear and Amazon Prime’s quasi-successor The Grand Tour made the diagnosis public in the final two episodes of the fifth season of his documentary series Clarkson’s Farm. The disease was discovered last May during a routine examination. Clarkson describes the cancer as aggressive, but emphasizes that doctors discovered the tumor at a very early stage. In the series, which airs on Prime Video, Clarkson shares the news with colleagues Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland. The two react visibly affected. The presenter explains that without the early diagnosis, he may have lived to see his last harvest. Clarkson had health problems as early as October 2024 when he had to undergo an operation due to blocked coronary arteries.
Like the industry magazine Variety reports, Clarkson had to undergo surgery. Around ten percent of his prostate was removed. At the end of the fifth season, the series shows the host in a hospital bed. He explains to the audience that part of the treatment did not go as planned and that he had to stay in the hospital for the time being.

The television star uses his reach to draw attention to the importance of early detection examinations. He strongly advises men to have regular check-ups. Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men, but early diagnosis significantly improves the chances of recovery. The future of Clarkson’s Farm now depends on the presenter’s recovery. At the end of the current episodes, Clarkson says goodbye to his audience with uncertain words. If further treatment is successful, there will be a sixth season. If not, that means the format has been completed. He had warned his followers in advance on social networks that the final episodes would be difficult to watch.
