WhatsApp Disappears from Google Play Store
WhatsApp has disappeared from Google Play Store and the reason is unknown. One of the leading communication apps has vanished. However, WhatsApp for business is still available on the Google Play Store.
In both the Netherlands and the UK, the app is unavailable on the Play Store. However, WhatsApp is available on the Play Store page. Also, even though WhatsApp has vanished, it is functioning fine as of now.
Those who want to download the app can still do it from third-party sources by downloading from the APK.
This issue is just for Android users not for iOS users. Furthermore, WhatsApp is also not available on third-party app stores including AppGallery of Huawei and Galaxy Store of Samsung.
It is pertinent to mention here that if you previously installed WhatsApp and then removed it for some reason, you can still view it on the ‘Previously installed app’ section in the Google Play Store. This means that WhatsApp has not completely vanished from the Google Play Store.
On a side note, WhatsApp is introducing new features including disappearing messages, hidden muted status, dark mode, contact ranking, multi-power support for WhatsApp, Boomerang videos and Google Assistant for WhatsApp calls.
