Recently, Sonny Dickson shared leaked images of the upcoming iPhone 16 on social media. These images showcase a possible redesign for the next iPhone 16 which has generated excitement. Basically, the images refer to a case for the iPhone 16 Pro that have a dedicated cutout on the right side. It appears like there could be a new camera button.
It’s unclear if the case manufacturer is taking advantage of rumors or has access to verified facts. Nonetheless, early this year, MacRumors reported that Apple intended to include a separate camera button on all iPhone 16 models. This leak is consistent with those rumors. Reportedly, the new capture button will offer more control over photo and video functionalities.
It may be possible for users to tap to concentrate, slide left and right to zoom, and press to start recording. Because of the button’s design, which is probably flat with the phone’s body, the case cutout is necessary to guarantee functionality. Instead of using the existing volume button approach, a more convenient shutter release would be possible with the placement of the “capture button” on the top edge.
One thing to notice here is that with this new button, the US model of the iPhone 16 might experience a slight redesign. We can expect a new position for the mm wave 5G antenna opening. It might be positioned on the left side of the phone just below the volume buttons. Well, this modification won’t be added to models dedicated for other markets since they rely on sub-6GHz bands.
All such reports refer to potential design changes and functionalities that could debut with the iPhone 16 series in September this year. Although his news is quite exciting but we recommend our readers to take this information with a grain of salt.
