A new file limitation is implemented by Google Drive, that’s locking some users out

Google Drive has surprised its users with some recent limitation that isn’t cheerful at all. Some of the latest restrictions are being implemented on the platform and are becoming a source of difficulty for many users.

As per information from Ars Technica, some significant issues regarding Google Drive were reported by users. According to a user, Google Drive received a message stating that previous files must be excluded in order to upload new files. This issue is happening the same way for free users and paid subscribers.

As we can observe, Google is putting a limit on the number of files instead of observing memory issues. It’s also been confirmed by Google’s support team that this issue will affect some users. In spite of this issue, these users are restricted from their accounts unless some older files are deleted first.

As per the post from the API Issue Tracker, we can assume that this limit was implemented in February and is currently being enforced upon users. Google has never revealed its limit in an official way. They can surely put some limits, but with the announcements that will inform its users regarding the matter.

As it was clarified by Google, each account offers a limit of 15 GB of storage space. The more storage that can be acquired by subscribing to storage plans, As for this file limitation, it was never mentioned by Google or even by any other platform connected with Google. Because of this, some users are troubled with the issue because they have reached the defined limit.
