A new updated logo is coming for Facebook

The logo for Meta’s social media platform, Facebook, has not been updated in a while. Notably, the company is all set to do so. Last week, an announcement accompanied by a video was shared. Well, the logo is going to change; however, most of us might not notice the change.

It is said to be the least exciting announcement of the current time. The company, which is owned by Meta, is “redefining” its brand, which is reflected in a new logo. Well, most of the readers might be wondering about some notable changes to the logo. This is not the case. There are no significant changes to the look or feel.

Talking about the changes, the logo comes with the same Facebook Sans typeface. The top was somewhat lengthened, the taper was slightly modified, the left arm was made shorter, the right arm was made more slanted, the overall “f” was slightly shortened, and it was placed in the circle. Overall, it would be difficult to detect a noticeable difference between the logo before and after images.

As you can see, the modifications are minimal. They might go unnoticed by most of the users, despite the fact that the company has detailed how the new logo will be more decipherable.

Some other changes are on their way

It is not only the logo that has changed; there are also some other changes on the way. The app will receive redesigned reactions in the form of animated emojis. They can be accessed by holding onto your fingers. Currently, there are no visuals to explain this. But the new changes are more significant than the new logo. According to the company, the feature will soon enter the testing phase, and eventually, it will be rolled out over the next few months.
