A rumor claims that the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro will launch globally

Some recent pieces of information suggest that the Chinese company Xiaomi has been working on the Pad 7 series. In 2023, the company debuted the Xiaomi Pad 6 series, comprising the Xiaomi Pad 6, Pad 6 Pro, and Pad 6 Max. The base model of the series debuted in the international market, whereas the Pro and Max variants were limited to the Chinese market. Some previous reports suggested that the company might opt for the same strategy with the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 7 series. However, a fresh report indicates that the Pro model might also debut in the global market.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro might make an international debut

GSMChina claims to have seen the internal HyperOS build for the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro for the first time. The existence of the global version of HyperOS indicates that the Pro variant might enter the global market. However, the report doesn’t list any details regarding the specifications of the device.

Some rumors indicate that the base model will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset; however, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset will power the Pro version. Some other reports suggest that the Pad 7 Pro will feature an LCD panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz.

On the back, the Pad 7 Pro will feature a 50MP dual-camera setup. Currently, there are no details about the battery specs; however, it is anticipated to offer 67W fast charging. The tablet will have four speakers for those who enjoy high-quality audio. Finally, it is anticipated to function on Android 14, based on HyperOS 14. Some reports indicate that the company will organize a launch event in April 2024 for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. It is expected that the Xiaomi Pad 7 series will debut at the same time.
