After the One UI 6.0 update you can alter grid sizes

The latest One UI 6.0 update from Samsung altered the user interface’s appearance. Some are bigger, like the Media Controller widget and the revised fast toggle area, while others are more subtle, like the new One UI Sans system-wide typeface.

The adjustment of grid sizes is another visual change made by One UI. The home screen, the applications drawer, and even the folder grid widths were altered in One UI 6.0. And the way your app shortcuts are arranged might be greatly affected by this. More precisely, though, Samsung’s One UI 6.0 update just changed the grid sizes’ default values. Grid customization is still possible, and switching back to your previous setup prior to One UI 6 is a simple process.

You can alter Grid Sizes in One UI 6.0

Here are a few steps that you can follow to alter grid sizes:

  • In One UI 6.0, all you must do to adjust grid sizes is pinch the home screen to see “Settings.”
  • Then, there are three options at the top of the settings screen: “Home screen grid,” “Apps screen grid,” and “Folder grid.”
  • You can use each of these three variables to modify the grid size for a certain element.
  • Grid sizes for the home screen and app screens can be 4×5, 4×6, 5×5, or 5×6. All of them are preview-able without requiring any UI adjustments. Press “Done” after selecting the grid sizes to use.
  • Regarding folder dimensions, you have a choice of two grids: 3 by 4 or 4 by 4.
