Airlink has replaced Smart Link as the official distributor of Xiaomi Mobiles in Pakistan. In Pakistan, Xiaomi launched its phones over a year back through Smart link distributor. But Smart Link lacked the basic marketing strategy, thus Xiaomi is changing its distributor.
Xiaomi offers its devices at an affordable rate and amazing quality to Pakistani consumers. But the company felt that its marketing strategy in Pakistan can be improved. Thus by changing its official distributor to Airlink, Xiaomi aims to improve its marketing plan.
In Pakistan, Airlink Communication is one of the most popular distributors. They brought Huawei phones in Pakistani market and were awarded Huawei Certified Gold partner in Pakistan. Furthermore, they are the official distributor of Samsung phones in Pakistan as well. Now Airlink communication has become Xiaomi mobiles official distributor.
Xiaomi has shifted from Smart link to Airlink because all Xiaomi phones distributed in Pakistan through Smartlink went to Daraz.pk for sale. Thus Xiaomi was unable to capture a bigger market. With Airlink as its official distributor, Xiaomi aims to get a better market grip and enhance its hold in Pakistan.
It is pertinent to mention here that Xiaomi became the fourth largest smartphone maker globally after beating Oppo during the first Quarter of 2018. The data was revealed by Strategy Analytics on global smartphone shipments. But, Samsung and Apple remain the top shippers during respectively despite the global smartphone market shrinking down by 2.4 percent.
