Alibaba’s Quark Uses AI to Reimagine Slideshows

AI PPT is not slide-making software. Like ChatGPT, it is based on a large language model (LLM). It is customized for generating presentations. Based on a template chosen by the user, the tool can create a presentation within seconds. Users can select a specific theme, like a marketing campaign or business plan, or start from scratch.
You might be wondering if it is about automation. Well, this is not. Users can add their personal touch to the presentations by changing the outlines, adding or deleting elements, and making other changes. The combination of human creativity and AI efficiency has the potential to make AI PPT a preferred tool for numerous professionals.
Head of Quark’s search product, Zhang Fan, views AI PPT as a productivity enhancer that combines intelligent content production with easy-to-use tools. This is a significant development for Alibaba and is indicative of a larger trend in China’s IT sector, where AI applications are being created quickly for real-world usage.
After launching its in-house LLM in November, Quark is now expanding the realm of AI’s capabilities for routine jobs like creating presentations. Initially, it is available for free trials. Later on, it will carry a small fee but it will still be available for regular users.
