Amazon extends Work From Home Policy till June 2021

Earlier today, news came out that Amazon notified all those employees whose work can be done from home can do so till the month of June which means they extended the time of returning back to the offices furthermore because of the coronavirus pandemic.

On Tuesday, a spokeswoman from Amazon wrote an email to the employees saying that all those employees who can work easily from their homes are allowed to do so till 30th June 2021.

As per the reports, this option was earlier allowed till January.

Amazon extended this option after hearing the news that more than 19,000 US frontline workers have been infected with the deadly coronavirus his year so far.

Previously, some staff elected officials also said that Amazon is putting the health of its employees at risk by keeping all warehouses open in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The spokeswoman added that Amazon have invested important funds and resources to keep all its employees who choose to come to the offices, safe by deep cleaning, social distancing, face masks, temperature checks and sanitizers.

So far, Twitter has become the first major technology company to allow its workers to work remotely so forever.

Moreover, there are many other tech giants who have extended the work from home policy for their employees. For example, Microsoft who had allowed its employees to work remotely for half their weekly working hours.

On the other hand, Facebook allowed its employees to work from home till July 2021 whereas Google extended the work from home option for all those employees who can do their work effectively from their homes till June.
