After a break of just over two years, the second season of the animated superhero series Invincible starts on Prime Video at the beginning of November. After several teaser videos have been released in the last few months, the official trailer for the new episodes is finally available and shows what fans can look forward to.
Season 2 revolves around 18-year-old Mark Grayson, who is also known by the superhero name Invincible. He recently had to painfully discover (in the truest sense of the word) that his father Nolan / Omni-Man is not the greatest superhero on earth, but pursues completely different goals that are anything but heroic.
As Mark now faces a series of new threats, his biggest fear seems to be becoming increasingly real: namely, that he could follow the same path as his father without even realizing it.
With the new trailer, Amazon has once again confirmed that the second Invincible season will start worldwide on Prime Video on Friday, November 3, 2023. However, initially, only four of the eight new episodes can be seen. The remaining four will be submitted early next year.
The original English version features Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Gray DeLisle, Chris Diamantopoulos, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Seth Rogen and others JK Simmons gives the different characters their voices. Invincible is a joint production between Prime Video and Skybound Entertainment and is based on the comic series of the same name by Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead).
Also from November, Omni-Man will also have a guest appearance as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1. In a new video, Netherrealm Studios shows how he fights against Scorpion and Liu Kang, among others.
