US based Global online retailer is to create more than 1000 jobs in the UK, the company is pondering to open up a new warehouse in the UK next year which would require workforce to make it operational, the company unveiled its plans on Wednesday.
The company has informed in a statement that it will open up a new order fulfillment center just near the city of Bristol at South West of England. The retail giant is planning to open the center in 2018 according to—AFP.
“We are thrilled to expand our retail network into Bristol, the new warehouse will create more than 1000 permanent jobs in the city”, said Stefano Perego, Head of the UK customer Fulfillment.
Amazon team said, Bristol has a strong infrastructure and talented locals who we look forward to hiring and join our team.
There would be a range of new roles including operations, Human resources, IT specialists and engineers. Amazon already has 13 fulfillment centers across the UK and employs around 24,000 people.
The United Kingdom current unemployment rate is at the lowest since 1975, German supermarket chain Aldi also announced to create 4000 jobs in the UK last month, the new business expansions would create more jobs in the UK which will eventually push the wages of employees which seems stagnant at the moment, as businesses would offer better employment and benefits in order to fill their positions in competitive market.
