AMD Releases Chipset Driver Update To Fix Blue Screen Of Death In Windows 11

With the release of the Windows 11 feature update version 22H2, users of AMD hardware were faced with an annoying problem. Under certain circumstances, the system crashed and the notorious Blue Screen of Death appeared. Now there is an update.

AMD has released a new chipset driver that fixes, among other things, the problems with the “Blue Screen of Death” under Windows 11 22H2. This is reported by the online magazine Neowin.

The latest version of AMD chipset drivers for various platforms supporting Athlon, Ryzen, and Threadripper processors has been released as version 4.11.15.342. The update is already available You can also find the updates from the manufacturer .

The update brings various bug fixes. The Blue Screens of Death (BSOD) issue on Windows 11 2022 Update is just a bug that is being addressed now. However, the official changelog for AMD Ryzen Chipset Driver Version 4.11.15.342 only contains a rough indication of “bug fixes for some drivers”. The details can be found by looking at the specific drivers and their release notes.

According to AMD, however, the new version still has some problems – so the update is not completely error-free.

Known Errors

  • Sometimes the custom install fails to update to the latest drivers.
  • Text alignment issues can occur in Russian.
  • On non-English operating systems, a manual system restart is required after the installation is complete.
  • The uninstall summary log may incorrectly show the uninstall status as failed on non-English operating systems.

Full release notes are available through AMD documentation.
