An AI Bitmoji of your pet is the latest premium feature on Snapchat
Bitmoji replicas of your pet are a new AI-powered benefit available to Snapchat customers. Users may create a cartoon-like avatar to go along with their Bitmoji in the Snap Map by taking a photo of their four-legged pal using this feature, which is regrettably not dubbed “petmoji.”
After posting a picture of their cat, users should be able to select from a few alternative AI-generated image variations, according to screenshots released by the business. It should enable users to design something that resembles their real-life pet, but it offers a lot less customization than creating your own Bitmoji inspired by humans.
The newest example of Snap incorporating AI functions into its subscription service is this upgrade. Snapchat has experimented with generative AI features, such as its MyAI assistant and camera-powered features like Dreams and AI-generated snaps, since launching Snapchat+ in 2022. The business revealed in December that Snapchat+ has over 7 million members.
Snap also made some upgrades available to non-subscribers elsewhere. The app is introducing new swipe-based motions to expedite the sending and editing of snaps, as well as a new template tool to make editing clips faster. Longer video uploads for Stories and Spotlight will also be supported by Snapchat. Three-minute in-app captures are now possible, and five-minute uploads are supported by the app.
