Android 13 is nowhere near the top in the latest Android distribution stats, shared by Google

A latest distribution stat was shared by Google, and as per the list, there’s no place for Android 13 on top orders. As for Android 14, it’s unable to get any major traction as its share has doubled since January.

As we all know, there’s no longer a website supported by Google to post updates regarding Android distribution numbers. Currently, Android Studio is only sharing news like that, but they’re still not doing as much as Google used to do.

Android 13 is nowhere near the top of the list of distribution statistics

These stat updates are now available every quarter instead of just on a monthly basis. Android 13 was only available to 5% of Android devices until January, and as of today, that percentage has exceeded 13%, which is double what we had last month.

It’s not quite impressive, but still, it’s far better than Android 12, whose whole year progress was only 13.3% after its release. The way Android 13 is progressing, it’ll surely do better than Android 12. In less than a year, it has already attained or approached those figures.

Almost all OEMs have updated their policies. This credit goes for many OEMs other than just Samsung and Google. Other companies include OnePlus, ASUS, OPPO, and many more.

A comparison of this with iOS isn’t sensible

There is no comparison between these two so far. Apple only does this for its own devices, while Android does all of that for many other devices. Android’s development isn’t just limited to mobile phones. There are quite a lot of Android devices available for pretty low prices, but they don’t get an update very often.

As with the current statistics, Android 11 is the one reaching 23.5% of devices, while Android 12 and 12L have a collective distribution of 16.5%. So Android 13 is far from being in second place for now.
