We recently heard that the next lineup of iPhones would not have a mini version since the sales have been dropping. Then we also heard that Apple is working on larger iPads, hinting to ditch the mini models here. And now we have more reasons to believe that the next range of Apple iPad might not have a mini model.
According to a tipster, Apple is working on 11-inch and 12.9-inch OLED iPad Pro models that might come in 2023. These large screens are tipped to come from Samsung, a rival company.
Then we also heard of a much larger iPad with 14-inch and 16-inch displays, which might also come in 2023. But we are still uncertain if these two variants would come with OLED or not.
There are also speculations of an iPad Air featuring a 10.85-inch OLED that might come earlier than 2023, i.e. 2022.
According to the source, there is one absolute difference between the iPad Air and iPad Pro and that the type of display each would use. So for an iPad Air, we expect to get OLED screens, while for the iPad Pro, we would get flexible OLED. The flexible OLED was previously used on iPhone 12 series, enabling thinner bezels by curving the display components into the body.
