Apple Event: Apple To Launch New iPads On March 23

There are the first indications of an upcoming Apple event this year. Accordingly, it could still be so far in March – according to a leak, the date of March 23rd is in the room. Then, in addition to an update for the iPad, new AirPods are also expected.

That comes from a Chinese source. As reported by MacRumors, the sources point to the date of March 23rd. Rumour has it that Apple will then introduce the long-awaited AirTags, new iPads and possibly also updated AirPods. According to the source, this year’s spring event on March 23rd will again take place entirely as an online event.

There were already some rumours pointing to an event on March 16, but that should have been more or less just a guess based on the previous events Apple held in the first quarter. According to MacRumors, the new date leak should now come from a person who is familiar with the preparations. Due to the corona crisis, Apple is expected to hold the event digitally again and stream it live via the website and the official YouTube channel.

Apple is still silent about this year’s spring event

However, there is still no official information about the traditional spring event. As a rule, the bloggers and journalists are only informed a few days in advance and then the invitation is published promptly on the Apple homepage. What Apple will present is of course not yet known either. However, the mounting evidence of the upcoming AirTags release suggests that Apple’s will finally show the Tile-like trackers.

iPads with mini-LED

The DigiTimes recently released interesting details about the upcoming new iPad models, which are to be equipped with mini-LED displays for the first time. In addition, it is said that they will introduce significantly faster processors for the iPad. But there was still no insight into the specifications. The whole thing should be published in the first half of 2021.
