Apple has no plans to release the iPad Air with OLED display in 2022. Previously, the company planned to launch one in the next year, but now we heard from Ming-Chi Kuo that it isn’t happening.
The earlier prediction from Kuo was that the iPad Air and the entry-level iPad will get the OLED instead of the mini LED. But later, we heard that there will be no Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) until 2023. LG has also commercialized the tech, while Samsung also plans to do the same.
Apple is likely to stick with TFT-LCD panels of the iPad Air 2022. One rumor also suggested, “Samsung will not be supplying OLED panels for the 10.86-inch model.”
The next thing we hear is the next year’s 11-inch iPad Pro will also sport a mini-LED screen besides bringing the M2 chip. We also head that the upcoming 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros will also use the same tech.
