The rumors surrounding the upcoming Apple iPhone 15 Pro are intensifying. Insiders talk about the possible design and appearance of the OLED display. The latter could be based on the Apple Watch with rounded edges and thus differ from its predecessor.
It is a well-known fact that Apple has not had a real design revolution for years. Rather, the iPhone family has been fine-tuned for several generations in order to preserve the design language. The manufacturer describes the “Dynamic Island” as a notch replacement as an innovation, but a real milestone was not set. With the expected iPhone 15 Pro in autumn, it should look similar, as the leaker ShrimpApplePro is said to have found out.
Back to the Apple iPhone X origins?
If you trust his previously unconfirmed insider information, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro will not differ in its display sizes from the iPhone 14 Pro. The new smartphones could use a narrower screen frame and a curved design that is visible toward the edges. The OLED displays should still appear flat, but create the effect of a rounded side. It is similar to the slightly curved side edges of the Apple Watch or the iPhone X.
The slightly drilled design, as well as the pill-shaped cut-out for the front camera and Face ID sensor, should be present on all iPhone 15 models. The advantages of the Pro models this year are likely to be a titanium frame (instead of aluminum) and the possible integration of so-called “solid-state” buttons instead of physical buttons. Furthermore, the smartphones should differ in the choice of the processor – Apple A17 for the Pro models, and Apple A16 Bionic for the basic iPhones. There is also talk of periscope cameras, USB-C, and up to 8 GB of RAM.
