Apple has finally let the cat out of the bag: This year’s iPhone event will take place on September 9th at 7 p.m. German time. It was recently expected that the event would take place on September 10th, but this rumor has not been confirmed. Instead, Apple has chosen Monday, the 9th, for the presentation. the motto “It’s Glowtime” The Cupertino-based company invites you to the presentation of its latest products.

As usual, the event will be held in Apple Park and will be accessible to selected media representatives on site. For anyone else interested, the event will be streamed live on the Apple website, YouTube and the Apple TV app. We will report live.

A look into the past

Speaking of Apple events: Did you know that the first three Apple events in history took place in 1984? The very first event presented the Macintosh to shareholders at the Flint Center in Cupertino. Just a few days later, it was shown a second time at an event organized by the Boston Computer Society.

iPhone 16: What can we expect?

The focus of the event is the new iPhone 16 series. According to rumors and leaks, we can look forward to some exciting new features. The basic models are said to retain the familiar design and the previous display sizes, but Apple is said to have planned many changes – and new colors.

Rumors suggest that the watch could be available in sizes 45 and 49 millimeters. Refreshes of the Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Ultra are also on the cards. It will be exciting to see whether Apple will integrate new health functions such as sleep apnea detection or blood pressure measurement this year.

What’s new with the AirPods

Apple is apparently planning to split the AirPods into two models: Two models of the AirPods 4 are to be released. One as a direct successor to the AirPods 3 and another with active noise cancellation at a price below the Pro version.

Outlook on software updates

In addition to the hardware, the release dates for iOS 18, macOS Sequoia, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, tvOS 18 and visionOS 2 are also expected. These will bring new features and improvements, some of which Apple had already shown at WWDC 2024.
