Google presented its new Pixel 9 smartphones to the public two weeks ago. The special event was packed with information about new functions and features. As it turns out, Google didn’t reveal everything the new devices can do. Google
Even two weeks after the launch of the new Pixel 9 smartphones, users are still finding new features on the devices that Google has not communicated. Normally, there are no real surprises in the run-up to product presentations due to numerous leaks. But this time it is different.
This is reported Android Authority that Google phones have a function that improves operation in various situations. The smartphone displays are equipped with Adaptive Touch. “The touch sensitivity automatically adapts to your environment, your activities and your screen protection,” it says in the settings.
This makes it easier to use the phone when wearing gloves, for example. In this case, Adaptive Touch simply increases the sensitivity of the display. The device is much easier to navigate even with wet fingers. Random jumps, such as those that occur when swiping on devices with wet screens, are now a thing of the past. Adaptive Touch is automatically activated in the smartphone settings, but can also be turned off if desired.
A second feature that Google has kept ‘secret’ makes it easier, according to Android Authority data transfer after switching to a new Pixel device. In the past, it was only possible to move data from the old to the new phone during the initial setup process, but now there is an option that allows the transfer of images, messages and other files at any time. With “Backup or copy data” in the settings of the Pixel 9 models, users have significantly more flexibility.
While this function could also find its way onto older Google smartphones at a later date, this is rather unlikely with Adaptive Touch. This feature probably requires special hardware that is simply missing in previous Pixel generations. So if you want to use your phone in the rain without any problems, you will probably have to get one of the new Pixel 9 devices.
