Apple has released the second beta version for iOS 26. Just two weeks ago, Apple had shown the first outlook for the new functions of iOS 26 at the WWDC developer conference, now the test is going into the next round.
Some of the innovations shown can already be tried out with the second beta – but only as part of the company’s official developer program. In the July starts the public beta that gives more users access to the current developments. Until then, the test remains restricted.
The new one Build wears the number 23A5276F / iOS 26 Beta 2. Details on the content of the update are currently not available. Apple only publicly provides a list with Bugfixes and changes to interfaces available.
Participation in the beta program is free of charge and sets a one-time registration for the program at beta.apple.com/betapaprogram ahead of the device supported accordingly. This applies to all beta versions that Apple tests, i.e. for iPhone, iPad, Watch, Mac and TV. To do this, users have to store their Apple ID and then automatically receive the update from the update function. New builds then also automatically come to the device.
The new beta version is now for Registered developers Available as over-the-air update. The testing of pre -abs -versions is always at your own risk and should not run on the productive system. iOS 26 will start in autumn with the other updates for iPados, MacOS and Watchos. There is no precise date so far, traditionally the updates have started in September. Anyone who has already plunged into the Beta world of iOS 26 gets early insights – but also potential bugs and risks.
