Apple has officially released iOS 18.4 Beta 4, packed with several bug fixes, performance improvements, and exciting new features. According to Apple’s changelog:
“The iOS & iPadOS 18.4 SDK provides support to develop apps for iPhone and iPad running iOS & iPadOS 18.4 Beta 4. The SDK comes bundled with Xcode 16.3, available from the Mac App Store.”
Apple has resolved an issue affecting Apple Intelligence features for languages other than English (US). Previously, users needed to enable Siri to use Apple Intelligence in these languages.
Additionally, some users reported that after restoring iOS 18.4 or iPadOS 18.4, Apple Intelligence features were unavailable and displayed the message “Downloading support…”. This has now been fixed.

Apple addressed an issue where downloading the Apple Vision Pro app from the App Store caused it to launch with a black screen. For now, users can resolve this by updating to iOS 18.4 Beta 2 or later, then deleting and reinstalling the app.
A bug causing notifications to flicker and collapse momentarily has been fixed, improving the overall notification experience.
Apple has fixed an issue where some Siri suggestions failed to complete successfully in non-English languages.
One notable addition is a new capability for Nearby Interaction. Users can now perform Ultra Wideband ranging in the background with an active Live Activity, enhancing the device’s functionality for location-based tasks.
