Apple Starts iOS 15.1 Beta For Bug Fixes
After the release of the final versions of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, Apple is now in the process of correcting the first bugs. The preliminary version of iOS 15.1 is already available for registered developers for testing, the first beta in the public test should follow soon.
SharePlay starts again
With the new update for developers, there is now another feature lookup, because the released iOS 15 version did not contain all of the new functions and changes announced for iOS 15. First, Apple is now once again devoting itself to SharePlay. SharePlay was kicked out in an earlier beta and is now being developed further. Apple has re-enabled SharePlay in iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 so that users can watch video content or listen to music together via FaceTime.
In addition, there are mainly changes “under the hood”. Apple has fixed a number of bugs and incorporated a number of other improvements. Much is not yet known about confirmed issues, but the iOS team is already in the process of fixing bugs.
How to take part in beta program
Initially, Apple released the iOS 15.1 beta update only for registered developers. An update for end users could follow soon, but nothing is known about it yet. If you have not yet registered for the public beta program, you can still do so and then join in when the first new public beta is available. Participation is free and requires a one-time registration for the program at https://beta.apple.com/sp/en/betaprogram from the correspondingly supported device. The Apple ID is required for this.
Once you have registered, you will automatically receive new beta versions as with any other update. However, one should keep in mind that, as with any beta version, unforeseen problems could arise. It is, therefore, better not to use your productive iPhone, but rather a second device for the tests.
