Apple to Bring 9 Mac models with M2 chips
The four new chips of the Apple M2 series are used in at least nine Mac models. The manufacturer plans to install the processors in desktop computers and Macbooks. Two devices could be launched this summer during WWDC. After Apple released a few devices with their own M1 processor last year, the group now wants to equip future models with the new M2 chip.
The new generation should be available in different variants. In addition to the standard version, there should be an M2 Pro, M2 Max, and M2 Ultra. All chips support up to 64 gigabytes of RAM. Bloomberg according to the processors should be installed in nine devices.
The online magazine has internal logs mentioning the upcoming models. In addition to a Macbook Air, known as the J413, with an M2 processor, eight CPU,s and ten GPU cores, there would be two new Mac Mini models with an M2 chip (J473) and an M2 Pro (J474). In addition, there will be an entry-level Macbook Pro (J493) with the same specifications as the Macbook Air.
A 14-inch Macbook Pro (J414) with M2 Pro and M2 Max processors appears. The Max chip has twelve CPU cores and 38 graphics cores. The MacBook Pro is said to be equipped with 64 GB of RAM. In addition, the device must be presented as a 16-inch variant known under the code name J416.
First devices planned for summer 2022
Finally, a Mac Pro (J180) should appear. The desktop computer must be equipped with the successor to the M1 Ultra chip used in the Mac Studio. Two of the planned models will be presented in the summer. These are the new Macbook Air and the low-end version of the Macbook Pro.
