Apple Watch Series 8 unveiled details on new sizes and more tracking

Apple will launch three Apple Watch models this year. In addition to major adjustments to the Apple Watch Series 8 and a new Apple Watch SE, the rumor mill provides evidence of a completely new, robust model.

Now it’s the well-connected Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman (via MacRumors), which provides new details about the plans for the world’s best-selling smartwatch family. Apple is planning three new models according to Gurman’s information. The Apple Watch Series continues with the eighth generation, the Apple Watch SE gets its long-awaited update. In addition, last year’s insider confirms rumors that Apple is working on an “Apple Watch focused on extreme sports,” which is said to be significantly more robust. In return, the Apple Watch Series 3, currently the entry-level model, will be retiring this year.

As for Series 8, an update regarding the recording of activities on the future carriers awaits, with the sensors there could be an innovation that has long been speculated about. “I wouldn’t expect any major new health sensors this year, aside from the possible inclusion of the much-discussed body temperature function, but watch for major updates to activity tracking,” Gurman said.

A new size

These predictions are accompanied by the expertise of Ross Young, an insider, an analyst in the display industry. Accordingly, Apple could offer the Apple Watch in a different size at the higher end of the spectrum for the first time. An additional size can therefore be added to the currently available 41 and 45mm options.
