Apple is planning three new models according to Gurman’s information. The Apple Watch Series continues with the eighth generation, the Apple Watch SE gets its long-awaited update. In addition, last year’s insider confirms rumors that Apple is working on an “Apple Watch focused on extreme sports,” which is said to be significantly more robust. In return, the Apple Watch Series 3, currently the entry-level model, will be retiring this year.

As for Series 8, an update regarding the recording of activities on the future carriers awaits, with the sensors there could be an innovation that has long been speculated about. “I wouldn’t expect any major new health sensors this year, aside from the possible inclusion of the much-discussed body temperature function, but watch for major updates to activity tracking,” Gurman said.
