The WWDC 2023 by Apple is going to start from June 5. As per recent pieces of information, Apple will begin trade-ins for three new Mac models. It is reported that the trade-ins will begin from the first day i.e., WWDC 2023 Keynote event.
The recent pieces of information were shared by Mark Gurman on Twitter. According to him, the three Mac models that are eligible for the trade-in program by Apple include the Mac Studio, the 13-inch M2 MacBook Pro, and the 13-inch M2 MacBook Air. According to Gurman, Apple could introduce a new Mac hardware during the keynote event. It could introduce the 15-inch MacBook Air model.
Back in May 2022, the Cupertino-based firm introduced the Mac Studio. It was introduced with M1 Max and M1 Ultra chipsets. In addition to this, the company has introduced several Macs with the M2, M2 Pro, and M2 Max chipsets. However, the company has not upgraded the Mac Studio with M2. Moreover, Gurman assumes that Apple might be working on two new Mac Studio models. However, there is no information about their launch.
Previously, Gurman claimed that there is a less probability that Apple will announce a new update for Mac Studio at WWDC. The company might wait for the M3 generation to arrive and then update the Mac Studio. Well, the Mac Studio models featuring M2 Max and M2 Ultra chip options is not a strange thing for WWDC. Moreover, some rumors indicate that a 13-inch MacBook Air and a MacBook Pro model is already in development with M3 chips. However, there are less chances that these Macs gets official before the end of this year.
Well, the most recent information from Gurman regarding new Mac trade-ins does not necessarily mean that direct replacements for all of the aforementioned gadgets are imminent.
