At MWC 2024, Nubia will introduce the Flip 5G, its first foldable device

The trend of foldable smartphones is increasing with time. Several tech companies are entering the new market segment with their unique offerings. One such recent example is Nubia. Reportedly, the company will announce its Nubia Flip 5G at the MWC 2024 event in Barcelona on February 26th. This information was shared by the company on Weibo.

According to the official poster, the upcoming phone is compact and features a circular display on the back. It showcases a vertically folding design. Its design is quite similar to the recently debuted ZTE Libero Flip. Such resemblance suggests that Nubia Flip 5G might be a rebranded version of the ZTE Libero Flip for the international market.

However, it is assumed that the Nubia Flip 5G might arrive with Android 14 pre-installed.

However, ZTE has added a few features to the Libreo Flip that are exclusive to foldables. For example, you can divide the menu items evenly across the folding screen’s two sides. A number of other features are also supported via the external display, such as the ability to take selfies with the camera, track steps, get weather updates, and control music playback. The camera setup consists of a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP front-facing camera. It packs a 4,310mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Although the upcoming smartphone is quite similar to the ZTE Libero Flip, it Nubia Flip 5G has been certified on the IMEI database and 3C certification with33W charging. We will get to learn more about the specifications and global availability of the Nubia Flip 5G at its launch.
